“Make Art Your Day Job.”

People who know me KNOW that I use vision boards to clarify and manifest my goals.  In a recent iteration of my vision board, I attached a statement saying, “Make art your day job.”  This reflects my intention to integrate art into my daily praxis because art is a powerful tool for healing and self-authorship.  Two months later, one of my bucket list items occurred:  I was invited to lead a My Favorite Things Tour at the Seattle Art Museum!  The tour took place during the community opening for Jeffrey Gibson’s exhibit, Like a Hammer.  I loved every moment of presenting my selections by Gibson and Nick Cave to a captive audience in a bustling space.  The tour went so well, I was invited back for an encore at the SAM Remix event!
